Drying Tips Using a High-Velocity Dryer
Start in a closed room or outdoors due to the amount of hair that will be removed from the dog. The dryer will also blow off water spraying walls or floor. Keep that in mind when choosing a spot to dry off your dog.
When drying the dog work against the growth essentially blowing the water off and away from the skin. I usually work the two wettest areas first which is the rear and neck. This is also the area my golden develops a yeast infection so I tackle these first. Working in circular motions using the spade nozzle will help remove the dead loose fur. After I have achieved the desired dryness I will brush him and then go over with the wide tip going with the growth blowing his coat straight.
